Every bar is the real workbench — steamer, blocks, felt, thread — set up wherever you need it. Guests pick a body, get measured, and watch their hat get built in front of them.

Tell Us the Date

Send over the date, the venue and a rough head count. We'll confirm availability and send a quote within two business days.

Build the Package

Pick your bar, the number of hats included, and any branding — custom patches, stamped bands, stitched logos.

We Load In

The bench, the blocks, the steamer and the whole wall of felt show up early and set up clean.

Guests Build

Measured, shaped, trimmed and stitched — live. Everybody leaves with something that fits nobody else.

Not everybody wants to wait for an event. Send your specs — felt weight, color, crown height, brim width, the crease you've been drawing on napkins — and we'll build it on the bench and ship it to you.

Every commission starts with a conversation and a head measurement. Four to six weeks, start to finish, and it comes out of the shop with your name in it.

Every hat is made by hand by founder John Esguerra, using materials sourced in the United States and traditional methods passed down through generations of hatters.

Before You Book

Southern California is home base and there's no travel fee inside a set radius. Beyond that, we travel nationwide — travel, lodging and freight get quoted into the package.
A Western Hat Bar runs roughly 10–15 full builds an hour per station. The Trucker Bar moves a lot faster. For large head counts we add stations and hands so nobody stands in line.
Weddings, bachelorette parties, private events, corporate events, pop-ups, brand activations, festivals and store openings. If there's power and a corner to set up in, the bar works.
Yes — stamped leather patches, custom hat bands, branded pins and live chainstitched logos or monograms. Send artwork when you inquire and we'll work it into the quote.
Bars are priced by hat count, hours and travel rather than a flat rate, so you're not paying for what you don't use. Tell us the date and head count and a quote comes back within two business days.
A signed quote and a deposit lock the calendar. Dates aren't held without one — spring and fall weekends go early.
